Privacy Policy

Drums No Drums ("the App," "we," "us") is built to respect your privacy. The App is designed to work on your device — your music is processed locally and is never sent to us or to any third party. This policy explains what that means in practice.

The short version: We don't have accounts, we don't run analytics or tracking, and we never upload your audio. Songs you import stay on your iPhone.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect personal information. Specifically:

2. Your audio and song data

When you import a song or extract audio from a video, the App copies that file into the App's private storage on your device and performs drum separation, tempo detection, and song-part analysis locally on your iPhone or iPad. The original audio, separated stems, waveforms, loops, song parts, and drum takes you record are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to us. Deleting a song in the App, or deleting the App, removes this data from your device.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information; we never see or store your payment details. The App only receives your purchase/entitlement status from Apple in order to unlock Pro features. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

4. Free-tier usage record

To support the free tier (3 songs), the App stores a small, non-personal record in your device's secure keychain noting how many unique songs have been prepared. This record contains only anonymous identifiers derived from your audio (not the audio itself), is stored on your device, and is never shared with us or anyone else.

5. Network connections

The App connects to the internet only in two situations, and only when you choose to:

The App does not otherwise transmit data over the network.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data retention and your control

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. You can remove individual songs in the App, or delete the App entirely, to erase the associated audio and analysis from your device.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Contact
